The standard royal doulton character jug (often referred to as toby mugs) range has included hundreds of different characters from legend, history and literature creating an exciting collecting challenge. In addition, each character is typically modeled in at least one of four standard sizes - large, small, miniature and tiny. There is also a fifth, less common size which is often referred to as "odd" and falls between large and small. The ambitious and keen collector will try to find them all, but as the range continues to expand, the task becomes more daunting!
